Real Food for Real People

Any ideas on what to serve for a brunch for a bunch of women?

I'm hosting a brunch at my house on 2nd August for Women Can International Inc. Just wondering what to do about the food side of things? I've got the coffee, hot choc, teas of every variety and orange juice covered. Just not sure on the food side of things. Any thoughts?

When I think brunch, I think eggs. A ham and cheese strata can be really easy and yummy - if you aren't serving folks with dietary restrictions. It can be prepped the night before and then cooked the morning of the brunch. Easy to do, and leaves you available to chat with your guests. . But it also depends on how many people are coming. If a lot of folks, I'd probably do some hard boiled eggs, and then meat and cheese plates, and various breads of course. Alongside: berries or fruit chunks, pickled veggies, a nice mixed green salad...

With brunch, I also think of mimosas. You may want to consider a faux mimosa: get some non-alcoholic sparkling wine and some OJ and some of the disposable champagne glasses.

Just some ideas. Good luck on it!
